  16. I just installed psfig 1.10 and it seems to work fine with dvips.  However
  17. it doesn't seem to work that will with xdvi.  My users are used to a
  18. version of xdvi that doesn't show the figures anyway so this isn't
  19. terribly urgent, but it would be nice to have the pictures in the display 
  20. so I thought I'd run this by the experts and see if the problem sounded 
  21. familiar.

  23. This is on the Solaris 2.3 system, gcc 2.5.8 -- not the RS/6000 system
  24. that's been giving me fits.

  26. I'm trying to display the psfig documentation, which runs through dvips
  27. and prints out ok.

  35. works OK (wrong box size on page 4/section 6) and at the end displays

  39. I don't know what that's about.  However, when I just do xdvi -noepsf
  40. the darn thing coredumps early on the first page (before including the
  41. picture).  I tried adding the debug flags and all it shows is a lot of
  42. font loading stuff ending in this:
